Support for StitchTap

Need a hand with StitchTap? You’re in the right place. StitchTap is a simple counting tool for knitters, made by KniTime.

Getting started

• Count — Tap the counter to count up by one.
• Count down — Use the minus button to correct a miscount.
• Add a counter — Swipe to the end of your counters and tap the add button to create a new one.
• Name a counter — Press and hold a counter to give it a name, like “Rounds” or “Decrease every 4th”.
• Switch counters — Swipe left or right to move between your counters.
• Extra counter — Keep a second counter running at the top for a pattern repeat, sleeves, or anything you track alongside your main count.

Projects

Group your counters into projects so you can come back to exactly where you left off — one project for a sweater, another for socks. Open the Projects tab to create and manage them.

Apple Watch

Count straight from your wrist. Your counters sync automatically between your iPhone and Apple Watch, so you can switch between the two freely. Swipe on the watch to move between the counters in your active project.

Settings

• Keep screen awake — Stop your screen from dimming while you work.
• Theme — Choose a light or dark appearance.
• Language — StitchTap is available in English, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, German, and French.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account? No. StitchTap works straight out of the box, with no sign-up or login.

Is my data private? Yes. StitchTap doesn’t collect any personal data — your counters stay on your device. See our Privacy Policy.

My watch and phone show different numbers. Open the app on both devices while they’re near each other so they can sync, and the counters will match.

Can I count down? Yes — use the minus button to adjust a counter if you’ve gone too far.
